This Virtual Program Includes:
1/2 day training event + 2 follow-up sessions = 6.0 CME credits.
Clinicians who complete 5.0 CME hours and utilize the consultation line twice will also receive a Certificate of Completion from Project TEACH.
This conference series will enhance a prescriber’s skills in treating and managing mental health concerns in perinatal patients. This interactive program will provide helpful tools and strategies for ob/gyn’s, family practice and psychiatric clinicians to utilize within their practice. Six hours of CME-certified education are offered over the course of three events: a half day training and two follow-up sessions. This program is presented by Project TEACH’s expert team of reproductive psychiatrists and psychologists.
Discussing risks, benefits and safety considerations regarding perinatal psychiatric treatment across the preconception to postpartum timespan.
Use of antidepressants and benzodiazepines in perinatal patients.
Use of mood stabilizers and antipsychotics in perinatal patients.
Treatment of ADHD in prenatal patients.
Approaches to treating insomnia.
Psychotherapeutic approaches to treatment throughout pregnancy and postpartum.

Attendees are encouraged to participate in two, virtual follow-up learning sessions. These sessions build on the knowledge base acquired during the half day session.
All Virtual, Follow Up Sessions take place from 12:00PM – 1:00PM
New York State NYS Obstetrics/gynecology and family practice physicians, psychiatrists, midwives, doulas, nursing professionals, residents, and other primary care clinicians working with perinatal patients.
This training program is a funded by the NYS Office of Mental Health as part of Project TEACH. It is offered at no cost to
physicians and clinicians affiliated with a practice that provides medical or psychiatric treatment to perinatal patients.
