About

Dr. Malcolm is the Director of Infant and Early Childhood Initiatives for the Child and Adolescent Division. She specializes in evaluation, treatment and consultation with children (including preschoolers), adolescents, and their families. She integrates a cognitive-behavioral orientation with aspects of systems and developmental theories. She has many interests that fall into broad categories related to integrated primary care and school settings, early childhood mental health, and work with adults on behalf of children. She sees a limited number of patients for consultation and ongoing therapy through Pediatric Behavioral Health and Wellness though most of her time there is in training and supervision. Dr. Malcolm is also one of the clinical supervisors on the integrated behavioral health team through GCH General Pediatric Practice where she oversees training for psychology interns/ fellows and is the Healthysteps Program project lead.

To date, Dr. Malcolm has worked with four large scale research projects involved with collecting and analyzing data from elementary and middle school- aged students. This work has involved all aspects of the research process including grant writing, building community partnerships, program development, and publication/ dissemination. She has also supervised teams of undergraduate students, mentors, and mental health professionals. Particular research interests include school- based program development and intervention. Detailed information regarding responsibilities and duties as well as a list of professional poster presentations is available upon request. Current scholarship endeavors focus on training and program implementation in outpatient and integrated primary care settings.
