Nevena Radonjic, MD, Ph.D

About

Dr. Radonjic is a physician-scientist and Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, SUNY Upstate. Her clinical work focuses on Reproductive Psychiatry and the mental health care of Indigenous Americans. Dr. Radonjic has been devoted to education over the past 20 years and has been privileged to teach students and residents in various academic settings and develop educational programs. She is currently the director of Grand Rounds for the Department of Psychiatry, organizing presentations on the latest updates in clinical treatments and scientific research in mental health. She has led the Upstate Mental Health REACH Initiative for three years. Her current research is focused on the impact of sex steroid hormones on human brain development and the advancement of women’s mental health. Dr. Radonjic has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals such as CNS Drugs, Molecular Psychiatry, Cell Reports, and Cerebral Cortex, co-edited and written educational textbooks and book chapters, and presented her work internationally.
