Dr. Khatiya Moon is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and attending physician at the Zucker Hillside Hospital Perinatal Psychiatry Center, where she delivers comprehensive psychiatric care to women experiencing peripartum behavioral health disorders. Dr. Moon earned her medical doctorate at Weill Cornell Medical College and completed her residency training in general adult psychiatry at Zucker Hillside Hospital/Northwell Health, where she was also a chief resident. As an attending psychiatrist Dr. Moon supervises trainees in the evaluation and management of peripartum behavioral health disorders. Her role also includes the practice of collaborative care psychiatry; she provides clinical supervision to behavioral health care managers embedded in primary care and OB-GYN practices at Northwell, as well as timely face-to-face consultation to patients from primary care and OB-GYN. Dr. Moon’s academic area of interest is in the use of digital technology to augment behavioral health services, particularly for women and individuals with depression/anxiety.
